Arvada Parish: Bible Reading Challenge Drinks, Desserts, and Discussion

  • The Seldomridge's 13862 West 59th Avenue Arvada United States (map)

We will be meeting this Thursday evening at 7pm at the Riley home.  Our conversation on Thursday will be centered around scripture, specifically the books of Ezra and Nehemiah.  If you've been reading along with the bible reading challenge, which we're doing as a church, you will have just recently made your way through these books.  If you haven't read these books lately, I'd encourage you to take a little time over the next few days to read through or listen to them.  You're still welcome to come even if you find you didn't have time to read.

Additionally, below are some links to a couple of great resources that, combined, are less than an hour to listen to.  In terms of objectives, we'll definitely have some dinner, and our conversation is intended to summarize what's going on with these two books, and consider some basic questions:
1. What stands out to you about these texts?
2. What do these texts tell us about God (what is He like, what is He doing)?
3. How should these texts shape our thinking and actions?
4. What questions do you have?

Here are those resources:

We will have wine, beer, dessert, and babysitters just to keep an eye on the kiddos while we gather.  If you have littles who might go to bed before this, please consider sending one spouse to this gathering and swap next month (April 8th).
