Youths are invited to join us July 12th, 19th, and 26th for three rock climbing sessions.  Climbers of all skill levels are welcome, pre-teen & teen-aged, whether this is your first time on the rock or you have been climbing for years.  We will be offering instruction for beginners, so no previous experience is necessary.   There will be 5-7 adults present who will teach and belay the youth (Andreas & Michelle Leidenfrost, Jeremy & Amy Shoup, Justin & Whitney Bride, and Justin Riley).

Climbers will meet 5:30 pm at a central location (to hike in or be shuttled to the climb sites together).  Some of the locations will require a short hike in with limited parking so we're trying to make it easy to drop off your kids. We will be climbing at a different site each week, and parking is limited. Those who have personal climbing gear are encouraged to bring it, but basic gear will be provided. Please come prepared with your own water, sunscreen, and snacks, as well as suitable shoes for hiking as the approach to many of the sites involves uneven terrain. Closed-toe shoes are also recommended for climbing as youth climbing shoes will be limited. 

Please sign up here for dates you can make it (it's fine if you can only make 1 or 2 of the dates), and please include the name and ages of your climbers, experience level, and any personal gear that you are able to bring.  We will also be sending out a simple waiver to sign before the first climb.

Monday, 7/19, Clear Creek/East Colfax (Parking is here - packing and space at the base of climb may be limited so you're welcome to drop off and pick up vs sticking around or carpool with another family so you only have to drive one way.  We'd also encourage you to take I-70 to this location vs coming through Golden).
Monday, 7/26, Tiers of Zion on Lookout Mtn. (We will meet in the parking lot at the base of the mountain and carpool teens up to the trailhead.  Space at the base of climb is limited so you're encouraged to drop off and pick up vs sticking around.)
