Women's Summer Book Discussion: Orthodoxy by Chesterton

  • Riley Home 5390 Eldridge St Arvada United States (map)

As Lewis states so well, "It is a good rule, after reading a new book, never to allow yourself another new one till you have read an old one in between. If that is too much for you, you should at least read one old one to every three new ones."

As we head into the summer, I am sure we all have one or two by the beach or camping books we want to get through (BTW - I'd love to know what they are! Book recommends are one of my favorite things!), so to balance that out, I figured we'd do as Lewis recommends, add an 'old' book into the mix. We're going to read Orthodoxy by Chesterton and meet in August to discuss it. I've heard that The Everlasting Man is also amazing so if you're up for it, you can read both and add even more to our discussion at the end of the summer.

We will also be close to kicking off the Bible Reading Challenge that runs from September through May so we will use a bit of that time to gear up for another great year of being in the word together.

Please RSVP so we know who is reading Chesterton this summer!
