We want to announce that this Fall we will be hosting a conference with Doug Wilson. We’ve invited him (and his wife, Nancy) to come and speak to us on how we build Christian Communities that change the world. Jesus’ final instructions to his disciples was the audacious call to disciple the nations. How does one pursue that, exactly? We live in an age in which we are bombarded with information and misinformation about almost everything happening under the sun: geo-politics, wars, and rumors of wars abound. We find out quickly about crisis that strike cities halfway round the world and never mind, the nearly constant and varied streams of entertainment and notifications that compete for our attention in the day-to-day. But we find ourselves in Denver, Colorado in 2026 and the command of Jesus still stands: Disciple the nations.

To help us more faithfully pursue this great end we’ve invited him to help us think carefully about what this work looks like right where we are. There are few living ministers who have done more to help Christians faithfully attend to this commission in the everyday stuff of life. He has planted churches (and a denomination of churches), started å (and an association of schools), started a college and a publishing house. He has helped to foster a community of Christians in Moscow, ID who are shaping the life of that town in realms of business, politics, and the everyday life of that community - not to mention his authorship of a load of helpful books. We hope you will join us at the Kirk on Saturday, October 24th on “Building Communities that Change the World” as we consider the kinds of faithful Christianity and faithful building that leads to fruitful families, courageous churches, and shape the life of the communities they inhabit.  Doug Wilson will preach at Trinity on Sunday morning at 10am.
